pretty weird stuff: i was writing an email using gmail java app and the email was just not going out. I restarted the phone and when i turned it on again, all java apps disappeared from my menu. ALL OF THEM, including original games etc. I had about 12 apps in "Applications" and maybe 5 in "Games". Now, both Applications and Games folders only display a "Sony Ericsson" Link and nothing else.

I've tried restarting, took the battery out, took the MC out, sim etc. As some of the applications where on teh MC i thought maybe the MC is screwed, but the photos and everything else is available.

I also tried to download Gmail again, just to see what happens. It doenloaded, told me it installed but when i tried to start it it gives me an error.

Looks java doesn't work on my phone anymore - is that possible? any advices?

If you get the operation failed error you have to flash your phone...

If your phone is CID 49/51/52 use this tutorial:

if your phone is CID 53 use this one:

and download needed firmware files from www.4shared.com

You can flash with wotan it's ok, but you shouldn't as K800 flashing is free these days. But wheny you bought the credits, go for it.

well, turns out wotan is not much help - whatever i try i get all kinds of errors, my ERON's too old, when i try to upgrade that i get an error, if i ignore that then i start flashing i get another error "retrieving key failed..."

seems i wasted 25 EUR. now i'll try the free thing, let's see what happens

You should be able to flash using XS++. Just download right firmware for the phone and you are fine.
