I have just bought a SE k790i and was wondering if its possible to change the semi-transparent look of the clock numbers , to a solid color.

Many Thanks

Try using different theme. Look at this site themes section. You will find plenty of them there.

Go to Menu/settings/display/clock size/ try small one. It may be what you are looking for.

Try searchinf for edited (modded) layout.xml files. There are some files that change your clock, date and etc... Anyway it requires modding and advanced FS (filesystem) operations with your phone.

If you decide to go further, you can search for such stuff around www.se-nse.com

Well ive been searching for a few day's now and can't seem to find a theme for my SE K790i that had a working large clock on it, I can only find themes that show a clock, but the clocks do not work, does any one know where I can find a theme for my K790i that has a large working clear clock on it ..?

Thanks

Have a look at these:

Notice the temperature at the top, the battery % indicator and the day.

You can have this too. But the process to achieve this is very long.
I tell you what to do but dont ask me for any tutorials.

1. Apply quick access patch. You require certain programs and the correct patches. Tutorial: http://www.akshayy.com/sonyer[....]ying-patches-for-db2020-phone/

2. Apply the elf lib and vkp patches. Tutorial: http://www.akshayy.com/sonyericsson/pimping/elfpackelves/

3. Install the Bcfgedit and the Standby Mode 2.0.7 elf and edit the standby bcfg file to your choice.
Here are some relevant pictures.
