do you have to pay extra when you use the gps function on the phone
because i had a nokia6610 navigator and you did to pay for every time when you used the phone for a gps
and now I'm thinking buying a se c702

It will charge you because aGPS which the C702 uses mobile internet to assist it in working out your positioning. However, I believe there is the option to turn this off and use only satellites, for which you won't get charged. You will of course be charged if you decide to go downloading maps to your phone.

Hmm so there is no way of downloading maps through the GPS itself for free...

The application is free and allows for offline maps to be used with it.
Tried it yesterday on my O2 branded phone and it worked decently.

With aGPS switched off, the application takes a a couple of minutes to synch on the satellites, but, at no cost, i guess that is good enough
