ive been a fan of nokia for years!! but now i want to try something new...SE phones are kind of weird looking so i'm a bit skeptical about buying one... and i dont think they support a lot of applications or am i wrong?
anyway i want u guys to give me reasons for me to buy an SE phone over a nokia phone..
very solid reasons that can win me over to SE's side..
thx

If you can't make the decision yourself, then i wouldn't bother lol. I using a n82 atm, but i am considering other handsets, including a se. you do the homework, check the threads, pics etc. It really isn't that hard mate. |

The one very solid reason to get a SE phone is that in the cheaper price range, you can get a much better phone as opposed to its nokia counterpart. Take K660 for example. Its literally the same as W910 bar screen and accelerometer and offers the same features and probably even better sound(i havnt tested it) and it looks very fine indeed(and costs a lot less).
For a little more you get the nokia 5700 which i think was a mistake from the beginning. I hated the 3250 and i hate this more. Its like a phone made for transsexuals. A pole dancer should have this in hand when performing.
E51 is also the same price as W910 but its strictly business and thats boring IMO. The territory where nokia is untouchable is the N78/N82 one and by that time the phone gets too expensive IMO.

don't get me wrong...i love the n82. it's a fantastic handset. i'll keep the handset, as i will be upgrading, and i'm just looking for something thats gives more than the n82...assessing my options. Theres nothing from nokia atm..so i'm looking at se, and samsung... |

The A200 one, in particular.
It's really great with all the animations and graphics. It's also perfectly straight-forward.

Well i currently own a nokia N82...and even though it is more expensive...
you are paying for what you get. All in one device, which SE lack. But it depends what your into. What nokia phone do you have now? You mentioned apps? SE is rather slack on that front.
Reasons to like SE - great menu layout and ease of use, and i personally prefer their designs although you think they are weird so not really a pro for you. I would say quality but they have lost that aspect IMO, thats why i had the K750. Although N82 is now the equilvant of the time now so im with that. SE phones are great for bass junkies too if your one of those. |

Yes the SE interface is even better these days with the latest current crop of handsets i would say i now prefer the SE interface over any. It looks good too. I still love Nokia though. Anyway if you require a phone with the options of using many applications get a smartphone from SE maybe the G900. Many of the SE feature phones will not support all applications you might want like perhaps the N82 does. SE has not got many smartphones around right now which is a shame but things will change. Maybe also you should wait and get the C905 which is the next big thing to come from SE. Good luck. |

The main reason why I buy SE's is due to the very simple yet very beautiful interface. SE's also have excellent battery life.
