It's possible to skin the mediaplayer of unhacked A200 handsets (example K850, W910)
You can do this without resorting to XS++.
The basic principle is as follows:
1. Extract the W910 musaic.thm to a folder using tugzip or similiar.
You'll find an xml file and a bunch of images and a swf file. The swf file is the standby screen. The images are the various elements of the theme, including the mediaplayer background. The xml file is the file that specifies what images to use for which ui element.
2. Edit the xml file in notepad. Look for the lines starting with Media_ These lines dictate the media player colours and portrait and landscape background image.
The colours are hexadecimal: for example 0xffffff = white (ffffff is white in hexadecimal)
3. Create a portrait image 240 wide and 320 high and a landscape image 320 wide and 240 high (in pixels) and save them as png files.
5. In the xml file, replace the string portrait+AF8-backgroung+AF8-SEMC+AF8-Filtered.png with the name of your portrait image and replace landscape+AF8-backgroung+AF8-SEMC+AF8-Filtered.png with the name of your landscape image.
Change any of the colour elements you want to change. Save the file.
6. in the extracted folder, delete the original portrait and landscape images and copy in your own versions.
7. Add all the files to a tar archive and name it as skin.thm (or any name you like as long as it has .thm on the end)
Copy to the phone and test.
That's the basics but you can also edit the musaic theme in SE's theme creator before you extract it (step 1) to change colours and images of the theme to match your planned media player skin elements.
You can probably use the xml code in any existing theme you have by adding the relevant lines from the musaic example below (but I haven't actually tried this yet. I'm pretty sure it will work though)

Thanks, really appreciate your great tips. I just wonder why SE Themes Creator does not offer this skinning for ease? Editing .xml is sometimes tiring.. |

Yeah I wondered the same thing, but I was pleased to find that atleast it is possible without needing FS access.
I also tried setting paths to menu animations saved within the phone "other" folder, but I couldn't get it to work. I'm pretty sure others have gone down this path and have found that the menu swf needs to be stored in the FS and not in the user accessible area.

is it possible to put an animated gif as the background?because i hav a idea here.u noe the animation on the W960 walkman player when its playing?put a similar animation on the walkman 3 background and i believe it will be awesome.
but i'm lazy now =p |
