Just got the C902 today great phone....

I,m using my memory card from my W880 & all the pics i have seem to be dull not much brightness compared to the W880 but the screen brightness is set to 100%...

Is there any way of making the screen brighter or the pics?

Thx in Advance Shotgun

The ambient light sensor automatically decreases the screen brightness when in dark environments to save battery life. That's why the screen may seem dark even on 100% brightness.

And no, you can't turn it off.
It's for your own good.

I know, it really pisses me off and when you're sending a text and it's making the word, the screen gets lighter and darker too.... hope they change that somehow in the future!

I know they save battery life but i hate ambient light sensors. When in the dark they just make screens far too dull. Manufacturers should give users the option of turning them off. I would rather have a brighter screen im sure they dont conserve that much power especially as they keep going up and down all the time.

You can turn off with N82...
Love or hate me...

Nokia 5120 -> Nokia 6120 -> SE T200 -> Motorola V800 -> SE W800 (stay with my wife) - > SE K800 (stay with my mom) -> Nokia N82 Silver -> Nokia N82 Black Edition - Firmware v30.0.019 -> What is the next??.

yeah, the sensor suck. i experienced the same one with t650, k850, k770 (the old k770 is behaves better btw, but the new ones suck).

that's why i stick to my z770 and considering replace it only with c702 (both don't have ambient light sensor). [addsig]

Im probably going to buy an N82 soon aswell. I forgot about the Nokia smart phones where you turn up the sensor brightness. Much better.
