Hi everyone... Just bought a polaroid pogo printer and thought i would share a little review with you all!
PRICE - £99.99
Package includes the printer (obviously!) 10 free sheets of paper and the charger and battery.
Upon opening you realise just how small this printer is... about the same size as the nokia 6680 (shown in comparison photo below!) and is quite light.
After charging the first thing you do is put the paper into the paper loading tray under the hood. Each pack of paper comes with a blue sheet with a bar code on it which has to go in first. Once switched on it loads the blue paper through which tells it how many prints are available till it needs refilling!
Once thats all done you are ready to go!
The printer supports transfers via Bluetooth (most phones work apart from the iPhone) and also via USB (port is located on side near power switch) which utilises Pictbridge support!
On my C702 it takes around 1 min to go from picture on phone to printed out! The larger file size the longer it takes though...
Quality of prints isnt the best and they are small (around 3x2 which is half a normal standard photo size!) but they do offer the ability to be stuck to anything! just peel the back off and stick! I have managed to get some good prints and compared to the old polaroids they are much better!
Off a single charge you can get 15 prints an then its back to re charge (needing about 20mins to fully charge!)...
Now this is the special bit.... The Paper! It uses a technology called ZINK (or Zero Ink to everyone else!). Basically the paper has crystals in layers for each primary colour and when the paper is passed through the printer a laser is used to heat the paper to different temps to gain diff colours!!! this works ace and means no buying ink just the paper!
You can buy one of two paper packs.... 10 or 30. The 10 pack is about £3.99 and the 30 pack is £7.99. With the 30 pack you pay around 26p per print which isnt very cheap but i expect to come down once these take off!
Now for some pics! (sorry bout being blurred, i have very shaky hands off medication!):
Printer with some of my prints!
