Just how can it decide which application to close when the memory runs out? Cant it just tell me the memory is low and not open the application i want to open?
Its making it impossible to use as on many occasions it automatically shuts down web browser which costs me a lot of data charges. Yesterday i was chatting on MSN only to find out that after waiting 10 minutes for a reply, the application had actually automatically been shut down by the phone.

Don't you have a Taskmanager to keep an eye on your RAM?

Swiss Manager allows you to specify which apps are closed, and also the time delay when idle before it frees up memory.

I used this function with my p990, and it seemed to preempt the built in memory management, so that those apps I wanted to remain open did so.

You have to look in the task tab, open each app's 'setup', and choose wether to 'include in end all'.

Yeah swiss manager is great file manager, task manager and system info application in one. You should install that and try to see if it can do something about your problem.

The problem is that even SMP will close down if the memory is low.Not too much help with that if your phone has a low memory (like the P990i).
