it happened to me too, the only way to fix it is to do a reinstall of the firmware via SEUS. [addsig]

You might give a try with SMS firewall app.
Install it, and delete all messages in inbox and also click delete all in hidden messages.
It might work, if not, you always have master reset

You can also try Magic Message manager to see if it can open your inbox. Anyway if it doesn't help, the master reset will surely do. As it is some sort of full restoration of the firmware. But you'll lose everything that way.

You won't loose anything on memory card of course, so backup your calendar, tasks and contacts there.

SMS Firewall was not be installed successfuly on my P1i and Magic Message Manager could not open the Inbox. Where are those SMS message files in Inbox? I would try to delete those files to see if I can open the Inbox. Other boxes are open correctly.

Hmm if a restart is the solution that would be great, but I don't believe.

Well, yeah, I just asked to be sure.
P1 gives problems with .txt files send via blutetooth and maybe other files sent to a device,
which can be stored in mesages,
but when this process is faulty than errors may occur.
Just my 3 cents.

In addition to re-install the firmware, how can I do a master reset? Thanks!

if you re-install the firmware you don't need to do a master reset. [addsig]
