hey. i am in ottawa. i have a T68i on Rogers...

is Fido really better than Rogers? if so, how? i'll be looking to change service in 3 months....

what about Zero Gravity? (www.zerogravity.net)

i bought a Ready4U Motorola C332 GSM phone for $59 ($39 off as a grand opening special at my Rogers store) and got my T68i for xmas. just popped the sim in my T68... with the $20 mail in rebate thats four months of service for $39... not bad.

thanx

rogers is a dump
fido is by far the best thing to be offered in canada in my opinion

t68i with a rogers chip gvs u like half the amount of reception u cld actually get..
it's a scientific fact that rogers sim cards are made by monkeys...
Nobody is perfect, I am nobody, therefore I am perfect

Fido! 1st of 2 posts. First off i can send and receive email directly thru email client of my T39m. So u can on your T68, WITHOUT wap like Rogers. Havent tried sending pics via email & MCA-25 but should work.

Fido! 2nd of 2 posts.also i can change status of divert, accept calls, change call waiting directly thru my phones menu.Rogers u must type in arcane codes 4 each feature separately by making cell calls. Not good when daytime minutes r being used, cant b done when no signal but GPRS signal is present.

Fido! Even with LongDistanceSuperSaver option ur still paying 5 cents more per minute on long distance calls in Canada, and much more and less coverage in USA! phones may be more expensive but on contract 2 rip u off! Better reception 2, but this last 1 is just my opinion.

Hi,
I'm currently using Fido GPRS, by all means, it kicks butt... I'm using t68i, Billionton USB BT Dongle and my VAIO laptop and my Visor Handheld, when I'm travelling from Windsor (near US border) to Toronto and was surfing the net, connection was flawless, even though I didn't download anything (3cents/k is quite expensive), respone was quick, so if you like to GPRS surf (both on palm/PC), fido kicks!!
I use a pay per use plan... but perhaps consider a $50/month for infinite access --> 24/7 stay on!!

btw, Rogers does not offer GPRS.. so its pointless to join Rogers ... they do offer GSM internet.. 14.4k, not enough to load a webpage quickly

Microcell is Fido's parent company. rOGERS does use GPRS but its overlayed on TDMA network.Fido impresses me with coverage were its supposed 2 b and were its not. Trust me used 2 work 4Rogers and can never say the same 4 them.

i'm using rogers at the moment,
but i think fido is better overall.
well, rogers is stupid, they hire ppl that are dumbasses, i mean super incompetent.
i remember calling them about my t68i
and they were like "a t-sixty what?"
and when u ask them about flashing they dunno what your talking about.

JwY, I RESENT THAT. Lol. I was way ahead of the game thats why they fired me. Rogers sucks i know, always taking \"we dont sell phones but the service\" cliche. Duh cant use one without the other.

yeah, some rogers support people were clueless... some were alright.

i was just wary of fido as i heard they were in financial trouble and may not be around for very long (the downtown ottawa store closed up just before xmas) i figured rogers had longevity.

i'll consider switching to fido when my four months are up if the signal is that much better.

thanx for all the input
