Free Yahoo! Mobile Services Using Globe |

Guys, you can now access Yahoo! Messenger, Yahoo! Mail and other Yahoo! services for FREE using Globe on your cellphones. You just need to have a working GPRS connection on your cellphones. If you don't have the GPRS settings yet on your cellphones, just send GO (Phone Model Ex. SEK800i) to 2951 so that it will activate it and then after that, you will receive the GRPS and MMS settings for your cellphones for free also. If you want to manually configure the GRPS and MMS settings for your cellphones, just click the following link: http://customerservice.globe.com.ph/bmw/servlet/ViewItem?id=212.
Going back, for you to access Yahoo! Messenger and Yahoo! Mail on your cellphones for free, just add the following bookmarks:
Yahoo! Front Page - http://ph.m.yahoo.com
Yahoo! Messenger - http://ph.m.yahoo.com/p/messenger
Yahoo! Mail - http://ph.m.yahoo.com/p/mail
You can check out the other Yahoo! services by going to Yahoo! Front Page.
Anyway, enjoy using Yahoo! Messenger and other Yahoo! services for FREE. Hope I was able to contribute something for the betterment of the Filipino people. Hahaha! Next time, I'll think if I'm gonna post the technique on how to access FREE INTERNET using Globe as well on your cellphones. Hehehe! For the mean time, use this technique. Note: For the Philippines only! This also works on Smart but there is a charge for browsing so it's better to use Globe for this one.

Yah, it's gonna in any other mobile network in any given country. In my case, I'm living in the Philippines so the address that I'm using is http://ph.m.yahoo.com. I'm just not sure for other countries. The only part that you need to change in the URL is "ph". For USA, it's gonna be http://us.m.yahoo.com and for Canada, it's gonna be http://ca.m.yahoo.com. I think the URL that you can use is http://intl.m.yahoo.com.

Oh ok! Good for you! Where are you from? Coz you know here in the Philippines there is a charge but I was able to browse the Internet for free by configuring some settings on my phone.

Dude, it doesnt work. I tried it just now. Got some sort of error and I followed the instructions on your blog exactly. What internet profile should I use? You didnt specify.
By the way, I'm also using the k800i. Like you.
EDIT: Done. A little bit of tweaking needed but worked great. This is sooooo cool!!! Your link for the Opera mini doesnt work. I had to download it from another source.

yong sa Gprs,Internet at saka sa MMS setting wala akong nakikita na Data Account sa Connectivity ang nandoon lang is bluetooth,infrared,packet data,data transfer,yon lang.......pls help... thankyou. |

Both are working fine. Thanks a lot. I'm also using myGlobe CONNECT. INET doesnt seem to work.
Its buggy though. I always get the error message but I just keep refreshing and its fine. |

dude, di na gumagana yung opera mini na link. operation failed. ano pwede kung ibang gamitin? na try ko yung 4.1 kaso parating network setup failed. help naman. thanks
dude, i had this friend of mine na nakakanuod siya ng abs-cbn and gma sa phone niya for free! naka sony ericsson din siya and globe ang provider niya. kaso di ko na siya macontact on what the settings are. alam mo ba yun? |

@Nixxi: Yah, hindi gumagana if INET ang gamit mo. Ung myGlobe INET eh ginagamit ko lang if ginagamit kong modem ung phone ko sa computer. Yah, sometimes connection failed pero ok parin. Minsan kasi eh mahina ang 3G signal. Anyway, update nga pala. Change mo ung wap.amob.com sa Opera Mini Server. Palitan mo ng wap.igma.tv para medyo mas mabilis. Hehehe!
@gian5: Pag Opera Mini 4.1 ang iinstall mo eh kelangan mo ng load para masetup ung browser. Teka may working GRPS connection ka ba? Anyway, isesend ko sau ung installer jar file ng Opera 8.65. PM mo sakin un email address mo. Try ko din iupload ulet ung installer ng Opera Mini.

Ah STREAMING! Ahm, kelangan mo lang ng working GRPS connection. Add mo rin ung Internet profile na myGlobe STREAM. Same settings with myGlobe CONNECT but change the APN to real.globe.com.ph. Pero hindi ko pa cya nattry. Try mo rin tumawag sa Globe Customer Service (211).
Pinost ko na dito sa Esato ung steps for Free Internet Browsing Using Globe and Opera Mini.
