Hello,
I'm wondering if anyone has any tips on this, my searching and reading didn't reveal any hidden gems.
I have a SE s500i and I regularly back it up with the SE suite. I only backup contacts and calendar, which I also sync with outlook.
So you'd think that I have a good back of my phone...
then I decided to upgrade the S500i via the update sevice, which completely wiped my phone and reset to the factory default state, pissed me off to no end.
Well, my PC totally crashed. Luckily I was able to BART into it and save most of my data, including the SE suite's SyncML folder, which contains all my stuff in txt format.
The Outlook .pst that I used for contacts and phone wasn't so lucky, it's broken beyond repair.
so now I don't see any documents anywhere on how I can use the SE suite to do this restore. I can make backup now with my empty phone but I don't know how to "properly" restore my old data
So I've been playing around with actually just copying my good contacts.txt and calendar.txt and their associated files over to the new location to do a restore, but the software *somehow* changes these files BACK to the broken state. I have no idea where it's finding this date since I delete all the "new and empty" files.
Any insights?
