My k850i has a weird problem with the key pad. Ive lurked on this site for awhile and I havent seen anything with the same problem yet. From the instant my phone turns on, the center touch sensor keeps pressing itself so to speak. The green glow around it keeps appearing and its acting like Im constantly pressing it, going through menus and such. It doesnt stop no matter what I try. Is this a hardware failure or could there be something wrong with the software? I was going to upgrade to the newest firmware but I dont want to in case the problem hurts the upgrade.

Thanks, Steve

i had the same problem with my k850 a few weeks back. i brought it to a service center and told me that something is wrong with my unit's "key foil". it took them about an hour or so to fix, and it's all good now.

did they replace the keypad or did they just take it apart and re-align the foil?

I had the same problem...

It happens when water or sweat enters into the small gap between touch keys....

I gave it to service centre and they changed the key pad...

MY SOLUTION....

Remove any scratch guard you use now and put a new one extending trun the call/end button... Covering the gap between screen and touch keys...

And also if you keep your phone beneath your pillow... Either stop the habit or keep a small box and place it inside, this way you dont keep pressuring the touch keys...

Hope these help you in near future...

SE is really going down with this way of design...
