hi . i use my w810i autofocus camera to take pictures of pages with text written and they are amazingly clear. i just wanna know whether a phone without autofocus from se is capable of taking clear close pictures as from book?such as g700 .

a camera with no autofocus... is like your phone set with focus on infinit. .. try and you'll see that it can't take close pictures.
and to take pictures like you said... it needs to have " macro mode" too .... for example.. nokia n73 .. it has autofocus..but no mcro mode .. and the camera can't focus on very close objects.

I hv 2 more questions-
1. don't all sony ericsson phones with autofocus have macro too?
2.also, can a phone have macro but no autofocus.
i am just asking abt se phones as i have on interest in others. |

not sure if all the se phones with autofocus have macro mode.... but the lens in a camera with no autofocus.. can not move .. and macro requires movement . .. |

hmm...thanks for quick reply. i don't understand why the hell is use of se making 2 or 3 mp camera without autofocus.
it certainly stands no where compared to camera with af. |

Well they make that because the phones with no af cameras are oriented for other usage... Walkmans are mainly for music, and you have camera for taking quick snapshots... It is not a digital camera, like the cybershot series, which media player sucks...
