I am getting a new contract, and the phones that I am really looking at are SE G900 and the Nokia N82. I really love the fact that G900 got a touch screen, but worried about the camera/video camera quality; apparently they aren't very good compared to that of the Nokia N82.

Which one would you go for?

I have carefully analyzed ur query
I would like to suggest that, G900s still camera picture quality is very much below average.in sharpness contrast colors etc.And we all know that which has better video recording.the only upside in G900 is touchscreen which u wouldn't be using as much as u would imagine.

So if ur average user wanting mid range phone & willing to compromise some functions for looks & touchscreen features G900 is the pick

If u like high tech features & need good camera/Video capabilities, support for dedicated headphones, gps, large enough ram & greater processing speeds, ability to run as many third party applications etc then N82 is the way to go

Personally my recommendations goes for n82

Best regards.

not at all, i haven't seen anyone claiming N82 as brick. If u compare it with aK750, it slimmer than 3mm & little taller & slightly wider than K750 because of 2.4 inch screen

h 100 x W 46 x D 20.5 mm 99 g -k750
112 x 50.2 x 17.3 mm, 114 g - N82

no offence, but nokia have a tradition of making brick phones; especially some of the N-series. N95 is definitely a brick and N73 etc. they are not sleek and elegent.

You do realize the 20 mm is at the thickest point, right? Everywhere else along its body, it's 17 mm.

Crap crap and more crap... Completly non-technical answer...

If I was to choose between N82 and G900, the only reason I would choose N82 would be if my main requirement is only an excellent 5MP camera with xenon flash... Yes N82 has a better camera but for any average user G900's camera is very very good too... Just look at it's camera pictures thread... Great colors, contrast and shartpness too...

The reason I would choose G900 over N82 is because it's much more compact (slimmer) and has almost the same features but has a touchscreen also which is a bonus...

And both have equal RAM technical expert and many applications can also be run on G900 as it's symbian too, though less then S60...

Get the N82. Its a light phone, very well sized and pocketable. The very people who are b****ing and moaning about its size here are still going to be praising the larger C905 when its out . The N82 is very well feature packed and stable, its buit-in Web browser even supports Full desktop YouTube, theres Ngage with a lot of new games being released lately, an amazing 5mp camera WITH Xenon Flash, it has HSDPA and EDGE, fast UI with an exciting upcoming firmware that will add Menu Transitions and other effects making the S60 UI even better to look at, seriously all the G900 has over it is the Touchscreen and thin design, full stop.

^^^

If the camera is a much higher priority, then thicker phones are very much acceptable for me like N82 or C905...
