T68i bluetooth is disabled with Israeli SIM |

Does any one has any idea how to overcome this?
The menu option to turn on bluetooth is disabled on my phone.
After some investigations I've found that latter software versions
of T68i (I have R2E006) have a special code to disable bluetooth if them SIM IMSI starts with 425 (code for Israel operator.)
My friend has an older version (e.g. R2B025) and on it the
bluetooth works.
The stupid part is that the menu option is disabled regardless of
which network you use, and therefore you can not enable bluetooth
even if you are outside Israel.

this has been discussed before on Esato... no way to get around it... unless you get a foreign simcard and use it in Israel (which probably will be quite expensive...) or.... get the R2B025 firmware version which was the last to allow Bluetooth in Israel when using an Israeli simcard

Yes there is a way.
Get a foreign SIM and make a shorcut to the BT menu.
after that re-insert your orange\cellcom SIM and go to the shortcuts.
here is it!

At least on my phone this trick does not work:
- put a UK sim, BT is working
- while the UK sim is inside I've added a shortcut to BT in the "My shortcuts" menu.
- turned off, switched to Orange-IL sim, turned on.
- BT menu option is disabled.
I also tried to set the operation mode of BT to "on" while using the UK sim, however, switching back to the IL sim did not turned on the BT. |
