Just got the chance to sit down peace and quiet o compare my own C902 with friends W890, and the difference is that these are the exactly same phones, except for the 5mpix /3mpix camera and senseme or whatever crap it has..
Even got myselfe a w660i, and that phone has a much deeper bass than both of these phones.
I that how it should be in 2008?
And worst is yet to come.
Am really into musicphones, and to connect phone to the cars AUX is really a nice thing to do.
And even betteer if the goddamn Equalizer worked??
Works perfectly with headset connected, but when Aux cable is in, does not react to whatever mode i use it in.
Cant say soundquality in headset isnt that impressive either, W660 own those two phones so hard in my opinion..
Lucky me i didnt have to ruin myselfe when i had the toughts to buy this phone (W890)in a few weeks and hop it would satisfy me.
nop..
A real dissapointment for a musiclover.
Am i the only one with this sucha sad experience?
thoughts?

if they are exactly the same phones, what is there to compare??
it's like saying an apple = orange, EXCEPT for numerous color, texture, taste, and biological makeup differences. WTF??

Another solution is get a good Nokia Smartphone they always have good cracking sound. N81 8 giga byte or N95 8 giga byte. There are loads but generally lately Nokia have made better sounding music on their phones and not just the Xpress Music ones. Also cameras are better too on some. |

What about the W980? People who've bought it so far love it and say it's got fantastic sound quality.

i use a pair of good headphones and have normal, good sound. (same as k850)
if you want some super sound, why in h@ll do you buy a cell phone ????
(what did you expect, some super sonic bass with super high volyme)
buy a Sony Walkman player or a Apple Touch.
and no, its different between w890 and c902.
c902 is more solid
it have much better camera & video quality
it have face detection
it have Photo flash
it have geo tag
it have google map
it have new Web browser
its more beatiful in my oppinion, (they dosent look the same at all)
it have stronger CPU
it have bigger internal memory (runs more smothly)
its a real high end phone with fresh new design.

Hell is empty, All the devils are here. K750>W800>W810>W850>J100>P900>K790>M600>K800>W880>K810>W580>K850>W890>C902. |

If you're into music phones that connect to cars, how about buying the W980 which has an FM transmitter that uses RDS to transmit the artist data from the phone to the car and also has BT Stereo A2DP to connect with too.
Both C902 and W890 (and also W980) can be used in Mass Storage Device or Media Transfer mode with the SE USB cable if your headunit has a USB input.

I dont know for sure, but according to jbenchmark:
c902:
CPU Class : ARM9
CPU MHz : 170 MHz
JVM Type : AOT
w890:
CPU Class : ARM9
CPU MHz : 185 MHz
JVM Type : AOT
And you almost made me laugh when you wrote geotag, it haven't got a GPS for gods sake?!
And btw, I don't count c902 as a highend phone. It lacks to many features that should be in it, if it's going to be called highend. |

Yes they are. I don't think you can seriously call a 5.0Mp camphone mid range even in 2008. No argument here that K850i/C902/G900 are lacking in spec compared to their Nokia/Samsung competition.

You mean that if the phone says 5mp it is automatically high-end? |

It doesn't need a GPS to be able to geotag photos.
