I just checked them both on default eq settings. Same headphones, same song. If I were to mark, i would give N95 20/20 and W950 18/20 because honestly after listening to them both, there was barely anything between them.
The place where n95 wins was because it seemed as if W950's sound was confined to a certain degree, like a speaker enclosed by a box, where as N95 was like a speaker in the open. N95 was a little richer and broader.

Well you may be right but N95 can never beat W950 in sound richness but only in loudness. I am using W950i for the last two years and having N95 for almost 4 months now, have only used it couple of time for listening to music. Why? because I have owned W800, W810, W910, N95 b but none of them can produce a better sound through headphones like that of W950 even an Ipod. Beleive me i've got very good ears for music, LOL

I have noticed with all SE sound quality is that it sounds abit muffled, or a little unclear. Nokia sound quality (N95/N82 in my experience) is clearer than SE.

Yep, the SE sound quality is a little muffled, ive compared my K850 to my N81 and the N81 destroys the K850 at sound quality, lots more bass, louder, and in general a lot richer.

I agree. My W910i sounds a bit muffled. Its not bad and it would be sufficient for most people, but not me. I don't even use my SE Walkman phone for music!
I have a proper Sony Walkman for my music, and plan to upgrade that rather than get a new phone for music.

Since stereo widening is a software feature, is it a possibility to add it to UIQ phones?
