1. The msg icons in my inbox dont change once i read them, they are all still closed letters even though i have read them..
they used to display as being open, but i think i have changed some setting...

2. All the things i open, like messages or contacts or media remain open in the task mananger, this is really annoying as i have to go back all the time and close them, plus having them all open slows down the phone i would presume. Is this a setting one can change that the task manager doesnt keep the programs open?

3. and also, if anyone knows a site for free applications for my phone =)

1. i don't know about that prob ,maybe somone else can help you
2. it's a UIQ software platform, that's how it was ment to be ,all the apps go to the task manager and u can end them from there. but having contacts ,messaging ,file manager ,media and settings all open doesn't slow down the phone. at least mine.
u can upgrade your firmware to the latest one which is faster.
3.just look around ,you will find all you need here

Using Swiss Manager Pro you can close down all running applications at once, either manually or by idle time.

You don't need to close application, cuz the phone has 128MB of RAM, so you can open like 30 apps and it won't make any difference. but there is an advantage, that don't need to wait for apps to load next time, because they are already open.

Not a bug... unread messages simply appear in Bold... the message icon doesnt change, it just appears in the status bar (where signal is etc) when you have unread messages...

having all the apps open is the whole point, as it allows quick and easy multitasking
