My sister got a loyalty deal from 3.
800 mins, 100 texts, and a free nokia n95 for only £10 a month!
And i was just wondering whether any other networks do these good value loyalty deals.

So, the network makes £180 over 18 months and gives her a phone they pay £220 for, plus pays the operating costs and customer services fees for her? I wouldnt expect to see 3 around much longer if they keep that up. What muppet does their deal calculations?

Well done anyways!

First of I doubt they pay £220 for the phone not in the least. It will be more like £50 to £80, remember they are buying them in bulk and marking them up normally way above 100%.

Secondly they will generate revenue from the ads in their mobile web browser, I highly doubt a company like Hutchinson Whampoa will go out of business because of these offers.

Everyone said the same thing about the likes of Specsavers when they slashed prices and now they the leaders in the industry.

Im basing 220 on what another network I know of buys them for. You might think that they get them that cheap but they dont. Advertising revenue from one user wouldnt work out to be anything worth mentioning. Trust me, they arent making anything off that line.

i had a good quote in my school books "it's more expensive to get a new customer then getting an old to hang on."

also many phones sold as new are refurbished today. sad, but true.
