The sound output is horrible. Its an exact replica of how a speaker might sound if its turned on at full volume and its cracking the hell out of it self.
This happens both in the headphones and external speaker and internal speaker. No amount of eq settings is changing it and it happens with all video/audio files

Hmmm maybe you should try:
1.do you use latest ver? (1.2.5)
2.do you have check your playing speed options?
3.check again your equalizer, in normal mode u'll find nothing [v] marked in your equalizer options
4.do you have tried play another file w/diffrent sound codec?
Well i cannot think nothing else as mine working handsomely on my G900

mine works fine on my p1..
did you boost the volume while converting the Vids?

ok, turns out that turning off the eq solves this problem. but any sort of 'anything' on the eq makes the sound cracky, even the presets make this happen

Yeah activating equaliser in core player is a bad idea
