Im up in Birmingham visiting a relation and i have just witnessed a thunder storm like i never seen in my entire life. It was tropical with rain like i never seen in this country. It was so bad i could not see in front of me and my relations drains in his house flooded and it even came up through the bog. Was in complete shock. Never even experienced anything like that in Ireland either where im from. Has anyone else had these storm clusters today cos it was bad. More to come over night too. The lightning was amazing.

Just had a brief and heavy shower, bit of thunder but nowhere near what you experienced, hoping for some more thunder later though as I want to try to photograph some lightning!

I tell ya what its only just stopped the amount of lightning i aint seen in years. I love watching it as long as im not in a field. Safest place i heard is a car as the tyres absorb the strike. But im not kidding when i say it was bad. Depending where you are more is coming from 1am to 4am. Be scared now lol

just arrived in London... some fantastic lightning... just saw a massive fork, it was huge!!!

rain isnt that heavy yet, but its quite a time between the lightning and thunder so its still far away me thinks...

proper lighting up my sitting room with the lights off and PS3 on!

Yes its moving up over midlands again tonight and im here over night. Its not as if i have never seen a bad storm before but in Birmingham it was really bad and quite unnerving. Scotland and northern England will get it tomorrow morning. Summer lasted long as normal then but its too muggy in the city need sea air. Next week im off up Snowdonia will probably snow lol

Got a bit of thunder and lightening near us last night. Woke me up about 3.00am this morning, but it was nothing special, like mentioned earlier.
