P1i Messaging: Scheduled downloads problem |

Hi
Since about one week my P1i does not download mails anymore from Gmail via IMAP. I didn't changed anything on the phone, it just stopped working out of the blue. The manual download works flawless, so does the push functionality which I do not want to use because of the massive battery drainage.
I tried to change the settings under the appropriate menu option, but every time I try to check or uncheck the scheduled download option for an account the phone states a "Unexpected end of file".
To solve the problem I tried to upgraded to R9K009. After the upgrade, the virgin phone was working flawless (which means I was able to check or uncheck scheduled downloads). I restored my data and the same problem reappeared. I can't even delete a mail account, the same error mentioned above will be displayed.
I guess, my message DB is sort of corrupted and a master reset / restore without messages will do the trick. Not very happy about that, while I could live with the loss of all emails (they are still on gmail) I like to keep my SMS and especially my MMS. So is there any chance to backup and restore these or does anyone else know a trick to solve this "Unexpected end of file" crap?
Many thx in advance

Anyone?
Is it possible to access the messaging folder via the "protected folders" patch?
Maybe a simple copy of the correct file containing all the sms/mms helps? Means, copy the relevant file, master reset and restore the file... anyone ever tried that?
Thank you |
