Hi,
I just received a Vodafone branded K770.
I read extensively on the forum about FAR-manager and the SEFP plugins, got all of the software, usb drivers and the lot.
I actually do not care about the crap Vodafone put on it, I just ignore it.
There is just one app though I want to lose. And outdated version of Google Maps! For some reason, Vodafone put it on there and locked it. I just want the newest version that's all!

My question is, can you use FAR manager to just browse to that one app and delete it, without altering the the rest of firmware? Or does the act of connecting to the phone with FAR manager always significantly change something?

Can you, for instance, just take a quick peek into the files on the phone and then decide not doing anything, exit the app and have the phone remain 100% the same as before?

I'm just new to this and you all being experienced, I figured it's the kind of question only newbies do not know the answer to

Thanks in advance!

it's not necessary to flash the phone if you want to delete the apps/games that are locked.

you just need a program(xs++ or far manager) and get to the right location where the apps/games are installed in.

if im not mistaken these are stored in a folder named ams.

this is the path: FS/tpa/preset/system/ams
