Just got a k850. Seems to be working fine. I read somewhere that avoiding running multiple applications, avoiding having applications minimized, shutting down/removing battery, then turning back phone atleast once a day, etc (kinda like using a weak computer) helps avoid BROD.

I really want to know if there are any users that have not had a BROD problem. I also want to know:

1) how long you have had your k850.

2) what kind of firmware do you have on your k850?

it's grainy, unsharp and out of tone..

I'm still on my original - bought last October.

Everything seems fine in fact, compared to some of the horror stories I have read on here its almost like a different phone.

Takes great pictures, battery life is superb, media player was laggy when I first got it but now is great. No complaints from me.

I am a loyal fan of K850i. I just find this phone 99% reliable for many things. Excellent reception, build quality, texting, calling, internet, blogging, photograhy, music and more. For a phone it just delivers extra ordinary camera shots. I can tolerate the pinkish red. I just think it IS red!

Mine was originally T-Mobile branded. By my own experience I would buy this phone again if the C905 wasn't in my crosshairs.

I almost bought the phone this year but then thought of the many problems people have with it and didn't. I still think it is the finest designed SE, even though on the chubby side, and no other SE phone after it is as beautiful.
Honestly, I'm still drawn to this phone because of its uniqueness and I may yet still get if it becomes completely stable.

It's not what you do or even how you do it but in what state of mind you do it: Dups! 2009

I haven't had a single problem with my K850i.
Not one restart ever, no BSOD or BROD or whatever...

Besides the touch screen, which stopped working after a drop, no problem whatsoever.
Oh... but think about this... without the 3 point touch screen the phone is completely UNUSABLE, believe me. [addsig]

still got and using 2 VF Live! branded UK K850i handsets.

Other than the flash sync and battery life issues early on, which were firmware resolved, I've never had any of the problems people describe.

Firmware R1EA031, owned since 1 week after release.
