If it conceals the phone completely then I'd consider it IF I decide to stay with come March 09 when I'm due my next upgrade.
Don't see the point of a case that has the phone sticking out of the top. Doesn't provide proper protection imo.
I tried sniffing coke once but didnt like it. The bubbles kept going up my nose

I think the phone is just sticking out in the product photos to show that there is actually a phone in there. By the looks of it, that W595 in there could easily sink down into the case further.

I can see what Rookwise is saying, if it does stick out as shown with the man picture then its useless! hope its just for show and fits in perfectly.

There have been cases made by in the past that have part of the phone sticking out which doesn't offer full protection imo. If this does the same then to me there's not much point in getting one.
I have a pouch similar to this made by JINC from New Zealand (sp ???) except it comes with a flap with velcro fastening for the phone and has the same hook fastening as this one.

EDIT

Another problem I see with this is that if the phone your using isn't a tight/snug fit with the case then active medium to high impact movements may cause the phone to fall out of the case.

Also if the phone does stick out as pictured. Its open to any would be tea leaf (thief) to get an opportunity to acquire a new phone.

I hope you can see from my image that the W595 has a lot of room to sink down into that case. So obviously the phone won't have to stick out the top. It looks to me like that case could fit a much larger phone with room to spare too.

Obviously they made those product images with the phone sticking out because if the phone wasn't sticking out, people wouldn't get an idea of its size or purpose.

And BTW Rookwise, you spelled New Zealand correctly.

regardless of all that, this still appears to me, as it did when I first saw it, as some 3rd party generic case with average styling that I would never choose to store my SE phone

I'm sure that will be reinforced when we see final pricing

it is also reminicent of something out of the 70's!

I think this case suits the younger crowd to be honest. Those who wear designer skate-wear, etc. Regardless, I quite like it.

And this bit makes me wonder:

Maybe there is a zip there that we can't quite see?

I dunno, I guess you're saying that because of the pic suggesting this is for skaters you're sucked in by the hype?... but... I always show my son new SE gear as he is also an SE fan and he's also very big into parcours (PK etc) and he sees nothing to interest him here, and I trust that opinion, especially when I already decided that myself!

indeed, unfortunately, everything announced yesterday is a bit of a yawn really, except perhaps MBS-400, but having been dissapointed by MBS-100 and not excited by MBS-200 I'll reserve judgement on that one too

i think the zip is on the long side of the pouch. i'd think it'll be a tight slide to get the phone with the fastport connector in via the top

The zip lock is for Fast Port access. Basically a little zip in the side of the case to put your headphones through. My ICE-45 has that feature already minus the zip so nothing new there really.

What hype? Nah, from what I see of what the designer skating brands bring out here, this case is similar. Like the brown and beige colouring which suits military style clothing, etc.

It looks cool. Will be buying it if I decide to stick with SE and get the W902. Its one of the phone that I've been eyeing but still, no 3.5mm plug.

SE should include a strap to secure the phone.
