Ok, i wasnt sure where else to put this so im hoping its in the right place.
Im planning on replacing the outer screen on one of my phones, the whole casing is fine but the screen is pretty scratched.
I think i will be ok removing the screen but i dont know what to use to secure the new one in with, ive heard using super glue can make the new screen cloudy?
Any suggestions? |

Hey J-J,
I'd not recommend 'Super-Glue' - I always use a thin piece of double sided Sticky Tape.
'Super-Glue' (Cyanoacrylate) will cause clouding of the screen, as you quite rightly pointed out - as it will 'melt' the plastic screen.
So use a Hi-Tack thin double sided sticky tape!
Good Luck.

Hi Sony α,
Cheers for your reply, i had considered using double sided sticky tape but was worried that it wouldnt be strong enough to hold it, even considered blue tack lol |

Hehe,
We all try different methods - but, take my advice - the Sticky Tape route, is the one to follow - even manufacturers use Sticky tape lol!

Even regular double-sided tape is very strong, so I'd recommend that also, so long as you won't see the tape through the screen that is!
