K850 Not Properly Loading Opera Mini |

I had loaded OperMini 4.1 onto the phone right when I got it. Customized it until it was humming along and allowing me to really enjoy the 3G expreience! That was 5 weeks ago.
Yesterday, the phone froze while using OperaMini, the media player and streaming to my bluetooth headset. Ugh! I had to turn the power off/on during the freeze. OperaMini became corrupted and wouldn't run. I deleted it and then reloaded it from Opera using the Wap browser, to no avail. Now, anytime I try to download and install OperaMini, the phone stays in the "Please wait" mode for what seems to be ever! What am I to do to get my dear friend OM back? Help, please.

Well, not to monopolize my own post...
Through SEUS, I am now running the R1F firmware and thought it would wipe the phone. Not so. I tried to load Opera Mini again, and get the same screen.
Ugh!
Would anyone suggest a master reset? Would this wipe the preloaded apps that came with the phone from SonyStyle?

Hi, i dont think a master reset will solve the problem... I had the same problem on my k850 when i upgraded to r1f... But a nifty trick helped... Well, instead of downloading the international version of OM, go for a customized local version i.e. Rather than downloading from the main page, click on the link to download other versions n choose one which suits u well... Worked for me... I downloaded the indian english version which installed correctly n i am replying from it now !!! |
