Hi!
Maybe some of you could help me. I Have two POP3 e-mail accounts. Everything is set up and they are both sending/receiving.
The thing is that I want to have an automatic check of mail at some interval. One is supposed to receive mails hourly, the second at a 2h interval.
I have to select only one account (to view its inbox, sent).
Is it possible somehow to get an automatic check for both accounts, at their defined interval? I'm certain that it only checks for the selected account, not for both...
I think it's the same for older SE models, the e-mail interface is simmilar.
Thanks!

I have 2 accounts, one is Exchange and the other POP3.
To configure the timed interval check go:
1)Messaging --> Email --> Settings
In settings move to the Advanced tab (the last one) and go to "Sync interval"
and from there you can select you sync interval (1hour, 4hours, 12 hours, etc.)
Now, if you have a mail2web or any other Exchange service account, you can setup to receive your email pushed a-lá blackberry style! That's the way I'm using one of my accounts and the POP3 is received every 2 hours.
Hope this helps you!

I have set the check intervals to both accounts. They both seem to work, but only one at a time - the one selected.
For my e-mails i have POP3 or IMAP options. I have a Gmail account and a custom domain account (from my company). I can make any changes to both of them. I'm not familiar with the "Exchange service" accounts. Where can I add something like that in K850?
If you have the time, maybe you can explain more abouth this. I would really like to automatically check both my accounts.
And, a little offtopic... Does the "push email" option do more internet traffic? When I activate it for the Gmail account, the globe icon (Internet) stays always on...
Thanks!

I use Momail. its a push email service where you set up all the email accounts that you want collected, into just one mailbox. It check all the time for new mails and delivers them instantly to your phone. Its not a java prog, just get the settings sent to your phone and away you go!!!
As for the push question, yes the globe is always active(where there is network coverage) but it just sort of pings the server so very little data/info is sent |

I think I understand where you're going. But I can do all that by receiving (via POP3) the company's mail on the Gmil account. I can set this on the Gmail page. And on the phone only use the Gmail account.
But it's not exactly what I had in mind. For example, on the P-series you can check more accounts in the same time...
Also... about the push email... won't the standby time of the phone be greatly reduced? Being connected all the time to the Internet?

yes, with push and 3G you can hardly get 8 hours on your k850.
that's why i change it to check in 4hrs interval.
