I didnt think mega bass was the best option with the headphones out..with the headphones on it was GREAT. But not so great for headphones off..I use treble boost with that.

Use Megabass when using headphones...
but Jazz will give better sound when headphones out i.e. on speakers...

I actually use to leave the equalizer on default - Normal level. But I pump up the volume to maximum and I'm fine...
Sometimes I use it on headphones, but it is not much.

There is Manual eq settings. I use it to suits my need.
Sometimes Mega Bass are too much...

Especially if you are so much into a music genre such as Drum n Bass, Dance Hall or something sounds like that (bass pumping)...

i agree, i agree MB indeed sometimes ruin songs especially those with tracks that are already bass-laden..
but one thing that going for it is that it is just there in the corner when you need it for those bass-deficient songs that you somehow would want to hear the bass thump in them |

yup. agree with that. i usually personalize my manual equalizer that soothes me in every track that i played. |

If you can patch your phone and your phone uses zapf i have equalizer vkp patch generator. Markross made it. It's very useful, as we know the max level at equalizer is 16, with this app you can make a vkp that boost the channel up to more than 40 and yot are free to choose which preset you want to patch (except the Mega Bass).
With good loud acoustic you will have a perfect eq!

I never used MegaBass on my SEs (W800, W900, W880 and K850) it kills the sound quality of a good track, even on my NOKIA N81 i dont use Bass Boost, i have my own TWO saved equalizer settings, for headphones and loudspeakers. I like using the Rock preset EQ once in a while though.

mega base works good with the head set not the loud rear speaker sometimes the base jerk my head lol
