k800i no signs of life |

hello, this is my first post on this board and i hope you can help me out i recently got given 2 SE k800is both of them are faulty
the first has no sign of life apart from the red light in the infra red port when its put on charge, apart from this it is completely dead, it was left in a pocket that was hung up outside(it didnt rain) and in the morning refused to turn on, are there any hopes of bringing this phone back to life?
the second k800i was dropped into a bucket of water, this one does turn on and seems to work fine apart from the fact is has no backlight making the screen extremely hard to see there is no keypad light also. could this just be water damage to the screen and keypad that i could replace or is it caused by some other problem?
EDIT: ive replaced the screen and keypad from the first one, and its made no difference there is still no keypad light or backlight.
any help reguarding these will be much appreciated thank you.

Must use setool2lite1.11.rar
1. Reinsert battery and do NOT turn on phone!
2. Start Setool and click Identify
3. Hold 2 and 5 together and in the meantime put the USB cable.
When hear that sound (though that connects USB flash memory) disconnect USB cable, reinsert battery and do NOT turn on phone!
4. Start XS++ v3.2 and click Connect.
5. Hold "C" button in the meantime put the USB cable.
6. Flash only Main (K800 _R8 BF003 _MAIN_GENERIC_WI_RED52), then again disconnect USB cable, reinsert battery and now can turn on phone - work fine as before.

Yes, must update CID to 52!
But your phone is locked and branded: you can debrand and unlock via patch - but tomorrow I write you what to do.
For debrand use these files:
On XS++
1. Flash File System: K800_R8BA024_FS_EUROPE_5_RED52.rar
2. Mark Customize File System and click Phone Model K800 and CDA and Region EUROPE_5
3. Flash Main: K800_R8BA024_MAIN_GENERIC_WI_RED52
Create unlock patch: download SIMLockPatchGen_v2.1.ra and make your patch - just drag and drop Main.
Start Setool2lite 1.11
1. Select phone model - K800.
2. Click Identify
3. Mark Bypass DB2020 security
4. Add Main ( K800_R8BA024_MAIN_GENERIC_WI_RED52.mbn )
5. On MISC files add Remove_SIM_lock_K800_R8BA024.vkp
6. Click Flash hold "C" and plug USB cable.
After 3 - 4 min. Setool say to unplug cable, reinsert battery and click READY then again hold "C" and plug USB cable.
Then click NO to apply patch and wait ~ 20 min.
