BAV and the rest are pointing the pros and cons of both phones and stating their educated opinion based on recent SE and Samsung trends which I see as constructive criticism. You, on the other hand, just make up facts and number out of thin air, which is amusing at 1st but is getting really annoying now.

I own a P990, M600 and currently using a P1. I'm a big SE supporter but I agree with others when they say other brands are way ahead of SE these days. I don't believe a SINGLE 8mp camera can save SE unless they do something drastic.

I'm an SE fan but please don't make us "normal" SE fans look silly with your blind worship of a brand!

^^I respect people's opinion, but that doesnt mean anyone here would say, "samsung gives SE a lifeline".
What kind of statement is that?? We hardly know about the stuff Samsung suses, Samsung may be using something made by SE too. Its too rich to speculate on something that has not been released and one which has not been announced it. The facts here are quite clear. The Samsung is a Smartphone and the C905 is a smart feature phone. Its ok, if things stay to discussing pros and cons, but this is flaming. Wecan discuss on the pros and cons after the phone releases rather than now, without any basic idea as to what the phones are capable of.

What the Hell is a "smart feature phone"? The fact is you're starting to sound like Micro$oft. Get the facts!

Project Capuchin qualifies the C905 as a "Smart Feature phone" which also has Gps and Wifi. Micro$oft is still the world leaders, $hitty or not.

I don't know why samsung decided to use LED flash instead of xenon, but somehow i think samsung mobile's xenon flashes are weaker compared to SE and Nokia so that could be the reason why they decided to trash it and used the space saver LED.

with all those specs it looks good but still i prefer SE in some ways. both have their weak points, as opposed to what QVGA says on the first page "flawless". and reading all the posts here made me think that bavlondon seems to be aggressively looking for some holes to bash SE just like what is happening here. - anyway i'm not getting personal with the two guys, but that's what i only observed whenever something like this occurs

Agreed Razec...

Bav is in the mood to rip shreds off Sony Ericsson - let him be...

Let's just wait for the release of the handsets, before we go judging them.

After all, the C905 is a better looking handset (in my opinion doesn't look so tacky) - although, the implementation of DIVX support would have been welcomed in the C905...

I for one, am looking forward to Shiho, and we have not really got that long to wait...

goodness me dude, pray tell me what you know about project capuchin and what it is gonna be used for. "Flashier java apps" may not be the only thing we are looking at. Before commenting on something totally unknown at least stop calling others names. After the manufacture, you may be at the receiving end of one of the year's greatest endeavours.

Project Capuchin is a bridging technology between Java ME and Flash Lite making it possible to take advantage of Flash's strengths in fast UI deployment and well established designer tools, meanwhile Java's strengths are in services, security and a well developed distribution infrastructure.

Flashier Java applications is a good description. Where are the "smart" features?

The new module, which is 10% more compact than current solutions, will have an ISO 1600 sensitivity, anti-shake capability, face detection technology, 1-cm macro and an automated shoot mode that is activated by silly, smiling faces.

That must be after taking the medication.

it seems to me youre the one that has no clue. capuchin merely allows java apps to have flash frontends. theyre not getting any more powerful, just prettier.

apart from that, SE is the only one using that non-standard api - given their enormous market power, expect a lot of capuchin apps. NOT.

yea right. Flash frontends. Bridging java and flash lite gives ur only "flashier" apps. Maybe we sould just wait for C905 to release and then comment?? What say??

What do you expect from capuchin exactly? give me some detailed examples.

Yeah, lets wait for the c905 to come out. i assure you that you'll not even see 30 apps using this within the next year. why should anybody spend a lot of time with something thats SE-only when you can create apps that run on a lot more phones like symbian, wm or probably android apps?
