I got them for my W960... but still doesnt compare to my ipod and Senheisser 212 pros! Volume just isnt there.

You can apply the Sound Mod Full to your W960 to increase the sound... Most of the volume and loudness depends on the phone's acoustic files which control the entire sound of the phone.

I did!! Still doesnt compete with the screetching of the tube on the way to work. Wish it did tho. So much easier to lug around than a big 5.5g ipod and SEnheisser 212 cans.

Well I don't know then... The sound mod full seems to be OK for me, as I don't want extreme loudness on headphones .

TBH, I have just sat here with both my phone + hpm-85 and Ipod and 212 pros, and there is only a very slight difference in volume (w/ full sound mod) so am quessing that the tube noise is mearly because the HPM-85 is supra-aural and the 212s are super-aural.

Just co confirm this I swapped my headphones around and hey-presto, I have a magic sounding SE using supra-aural heaphones at a great volume. Nice combo.

PS: sorry for all the edits - mixed up super/supra aural
