w960 touchscreen problems |

my phone is probably about 6months old ish (cant remember exactly)
and just recently the touchscreen is playing up. this is really frustrating as most of the features need it to use. i have tried searching but only found that they seem to have this problem.
i dont suppose there is a way to sort this or will it have to be sent back (id rather not go without a phone for a few weeks while they sort it and whipe all my memory) |

Some time ago, another member - had an identical problem, and it turned out to be a loose connector from the screen to the mainboard of their W960. They managed to fix it themselves by opening the phone and reseating the connector. |

mm id loose my warrenty then? dont suppose u could help me find the thread as id probably end up makin a mess of it

Check out the rapidshare download mentioned in the thread, it contains very good video tutorials of how to get it apart/back together, and you dont need to delve too deeply to get to the screen connector.

downloaded, just about to watch it. but after havin a quick look i dont have a torx driver small enough look slike ill have to ask about
