Try disabling the "power saving" option in your Wifi profile settings (on your G900) and see if it works...

P.S. I have the P1 and it has some Wifi issue that is solved like that. Anyway I have never had any problems connecting to wifi, but about bluetooth PAN, I have been trying for years and no luck. Simply NO LUCK :@ ...

Mmmm, I also have some serious problems with WLAN. Most of the times, the scan is succesfull. But only if I'm very lucky, it will connect to the network, even with 4 or 5 bars signal strength (at 50 metres distance!). And then it will just disconnect after a short while. Trying to reconnect almost always results in a system crash, and sometimes I even have to remove the battery to reset the phone. Ok I expected some minor bugs that might vanish with the next firmware-update, but this is really NOT good. If the phone looses wlan-connection for whatever reason, this should absolutely not result in a system crash. I'm so mad about this, because otherwise the G900 is a great phone, and I would miss it allready after just 10 days of use. But if I can't solve the problem, I'll have to send it back.
Mr. Zubrowka, succes with yours, back here when I know more about this problem.

Yeah that is such a bullshit !

I called the Support and th only thing they could tell me to change the dns-server setting and the proxy settings !

After i have done these thing the same probem appeard. "Network Problem" and no damn hompage is displayed !

But if i use wap or the other stuff, which i have to pay for, there no problem appear.

I hate such problems ! Now i cosider to change the phone with the N82 ! But i love the G900!

I did some network-scanning outside last night and I found lots. About 1 in 10 were still unprotected! So I tried to connect to one and BINGO; connection succesfull. I started browsing until connection was lost. No problems scanning again and finding another network.
But at home, same problems again; full signal strength, but no connection and eventually system failure. This makes me think it might be an interference problem, but I don't know much about these things.
So, have you tried other networks than your own?

In the UK, someone was arrested recently for doing exactly this!

Well, I do know it's illegal to use WLAN outside in France and officially, it's illegal here to use someone else's network without permission, but what the hell, I was just trying to solve a problem, without criminal intent. By the way, I was also smoking something, didn't have an ID on me and wasn't at all scared of getting arrested. Should I? Still a bit happy to be dutch.

when that happens it will usually prompt you for a connections test. just tap that. after a while it usually says ur connection is fine then it will begin to work. it did for me...

Please search the forums or check out the FAQ at the top of the thread list. UIQ3 WLAN diagnosis and troubleshooting has been discussed at GREAT length within these forums.

For those of you having issues the normal problems are :-

Encryption not working - Try downgrading to WEP, this usually works whereas WPA seems to be somewhat more difficult to get going

Manually setup your IP address, Gateway & DNS rather than using DCHP. Many cheaper WIFI Routers simply take too long to process DCHP requests and these seem to time out on UIQ3

CHECK YOUR INTERNET GROUP! Your wifi account must be listed in the internet group (control panel->connections->internet accounts->groups tab)

Finally when all else fails and your p1/g900/w960 says its connected but still won't browse the net you can use the VPN software on the SE download site to test your connection, it has a PING tool which you can use to ping firstly your router and then a website/IP address, this will then tell you where your connection is falling over.

Please don't ask for a link to the VPN software, you'll find it easily enough using google.

Oh - and don't ask about YouTube!
