My brother recently bought a compilation cd which contented with files for flashing various type of SE phone. But the problem is we dont know which software to use cause it was not the basic mbn extention for the main and fbn for the fs, it was bin for both files. Either XS++ and SETool2lite won't read those bin files. One more thing makes me curious is the custompack provided inside the bin pack has "bid" extention so we can't unpack and manually add it with XS++.
Please somebody enlighten us

Regards

According to me (I stand to be corrected) XS++ 3.1 darwin is supposed to be ble to work with .bin files. And you can just go and download the custpack at iprotebe because that custpack sounds very strange and I've never heard of!!!

the good ol' davinci(13.6 or 13.7) does work with these files. the first and only time i flashed my clara was using davinci 13.7. my k750 was cid36 of course. that davinci doesnt work with cid49 or higher.

i've never flashed a phone with xs++ using those file extensions. so give it a go. it cant harm the phone.

it was free too

Off topic: Tnx dude haha

On topic: I have flashed my W800 (CID36) with BIN firmware files instead of the MBN (MAIN) and FBN (FS) ones. The flashing procedure went successfuly and the phone is 100% in working order... Though it was CID36 W800 (DB2010) phone.

It may depend what phone are you flashing, but I can say if you are flashing CID36 DB2010 there is no reason why it shouldn't work... Just use latest XS++ version and it'll be ok

Hey no problem mate. About the custpacks you can use the ones provided by XS++. They don't matter with the .bin firmware files extension
