The Opinion:
Image-brightness is really surprising. C700 Wins in Sharpness and Noise-Handling, but the color has not been dealt with. (Mizzle's Word in C905 Leaks )
Note that it's still a first release, and Color Accuration can be fixed in further firmware revision (or maybe modded camdriver? )

Because it released in China, it doesn't mentioned 3G, HSDPA, Wi-Fi and GPS feature. Restricted Features in That Country. . .

But I pointed the camera specs . . .

Two thumbs up for the effort and seriousness of K-Touch as a relatively new china manufacturer to developing their flagship imaging phone.

Note that it's based on their own China Technology . . .

How about SonyEricsson that backed-up with Sony Japan Technology?

After reading this review, I feels that SE doesn't take so much effort and seriousness to develop a camera module of C905 . . .

I even hear that SE using Samsung Camera Module on their latest C905 Flagship Imaging Phone???

QVGA Video Recording??? CMOS Sensor??? No Optical Zoom???
K850i's Camera Interface (No New Break-Through Features other than Smart Contrast and Smile Shutter)???

You are not serious and must be kidding, SE!!!

But two thumbs up for the design and feature of C905. You are serious in this aspect, SE!

I hope C905 doesn't dissappoint me, like my K850i does :crying:

A quotes from pages 3:

Hiron says:

The picture seems blurry (not sure because poor AF algorithm or unsteady hand,) but quite low noise.

I think that's all because cam driver that is not optimized (still premature in this stage). I see a little Noise-Reduction, and Yes, wrong light balance on some pics (all settings are auto white-balance).

" but i dont really blame them (K-Touch, editor) since they are a small company and its cheap, " shyam335 said.

Exactly. I just make a comparison between "small company and this cheap product" to SonyEricsson under Sony Japan CyberShot Technology.

Since K750i and K800i, SonyEricsson seems not showing their effort to makes a better Camera Module. They also insisting using CMOS instead of CCD.

They even decided to use Samsung CamModule in C905, instead of continuing the development of their own Sony Sensors. . .

The Camera-UI of C905 also doesn't makes huge difference with K850's UI.

Apart of SmartContrast, Geotagging and 8MP, I didn't see any difference. . .

QVGA recording???

In my prototype, ISO settings even removed, and I don't see Smile Shutters mode. But I thought they may add this feature later on final release, because it's stated in the WhitePaper. . .

Do you know some funny facts?
K800i use IMX-018 Sony Cam Module, sensitivity 106 mV
K850i use IMX-020 Sony Cam Module, sensitivity 57 mV

They reducing the cell size of IMX-020 to 2.0 micrometer, instead of 2.5 micrometer in IMX-018. . .
By reducing cell size, they could squeeze more megapixels to same-sized sensors, and leads to sensitivity reduceness due to less light that reach the sensors.
That's why we see a hell more noise and pixel errors on K850i, although the details increased a bit. . .

For some comparison, Sony Handycam CCD sensors have sensitivity about 800 mV. . .

And I'm quite happy now because they use a bigger sensor on C905. Seems SE learns a LITTLE (not MUCH) from K850i's mistakes

And one more mistakes from K850i. . . They use low quality lens cover in K850i. If you removed glass that protects the lens, the purple fringing and chromatic aberration reduced a lot.

Chromatic aberration and purple fringing usually because of low quality optics (in this case, a glass lens cover that protects the main lens.)

Just try removing that glass cover, especially a people that experienced a dust under lens cover. The auto-shutter already covered the main lens, so it is useless to have some stupid additional lens cover. Just look at K800i

Thanks for your attention,

Hiron

Sorry but they only way I would put one of them in my pocket is if my pocket had a hole in and the phone fell down my leg and smashed.

K-Touch is China manufacturer, established in 2001.

The initial price is too low for 8MP phones, so there is a possibility that the build quality is crap.

But what I want to pointed out is, a manufacturer like K-Touch has shown their seriousness to build the best phone they can make (based on their technology that is not too advanced)

But SE (backed up with Sony's Wonderful Technologies) seems doesn't show their seriousness with C905 in camera-specs.

SE only show their seriousness in C905 in a Design and Feature (like adding GPS, Wi-Fi, Capuchin Project, Great Design)...

But C905 Camera-Specs? I don't think so...
SE doesn't use CCD, OZ, Bravia Panels, VGA Recording. . .

SE could do much better than this, some features in C905 dissappointed me. .

If they are serious, they could add these technology easily. . .

I agree somewhat. They do compromise somethings in order to bring you others but looks do sell and the design plays a big part in my eyes.

Well i have to agree with you, the camera quality of their recent phones took many fans to disappointment , and they made a move from K850 to N82 to N95.Well Lg is already developing advanced 8mp camera phone with Wide Vga video recording at 30 Fps , which SE has never managed to do, even in their flagship cybershot model C905, they couldn't even implement VGA recording takes me too disappointment,None the less they were pushed to fifth place in term of market share, replaced by LG.And soon samsung will also come up with 8mp camera phone.

K700- W800- [W810]- W200-[ P990]=[Current].

Well this phone may be a rival of the C905, but it doesn't look better for me... Anyway, I don't like it's design at all... Especially not the keyboard... It's awful imho.

It may not be pretty phone, but the picture quality is better than the SE C905.
