I recently got my version T650i
and experience one problem.

when i'm in a call the phone gets very hot.
not just slightly warm as it could get from the heat of my cheek
but even the backside is very warm
I haven't measured the temp (not sure how I would do that)
but I guess around 45 C

is that a common problem om this phone ?
or maybe it's due it's metal casing

it shouldn't heat up that quick for my k800i to reach 42c i have to be charging it and using the 3g internet, i think you might have a faulty handset.

3G will make it quite hot. Keep in mind that the phone's casing is metal, which transfers heat more quickly and easily, so you'll feel it on your fingers more easily than if it were say, a plastic phone.

If you are concerned, just switch it to GSM only mode.

Yeah using 3g on your phone consumes more battery which is resulting with raised phone temperature.
