What is the best way to do this with the only port being an aerial port? I think an RF modulator may work but can't find any cheap . Also can freeview work with one of those aerials that sit on top of the TV or better still without an aerial? The small aerial may work, but only in a strong signal area, again somewhere near a mast. Other than that, you'll need a roof aerial.
