I am considering to get w960i or p1i. I got bad experience with k600i(dust problem),w890(3 dead pixel), K660i(dust probelm again. Which one of the 2 is more dust screen proof? I heard that w960 got another layer of screen compare to p1i, does this mean w 960i more prone to dust problem? Thanks before.

My W960 has no dust problem at all. Mind you, I do use the case that it comes with but being suede, it tends to stick to dust pretty well, but hasnt made its way behind the screen or into the speaker (Rattles).

Do u mean dust undr the screen? Well mate, got the same problem wit u wit my nonsmartphone like w800, w910 but p1 has been good, as well as w960 thou i hav the same feelin bout the letter since it has outer layer, hence it may b prone to dust. But i may hav to think otherwise nw. I knw that nokia is more prone to dust under ur screen

Ive been using a P1i with a screen guard and a flip top cover and after about 4 months, theres no dust underneath the screen.

The build quality is good enough to not allow dust underneath the screen, however basic precautions like a cover and regular cleaning would help.

If dust protection is a factor in your purchase, try the C702, which is dust, splash and a bit more shock resistant than normal phones.

Its a cool piece

w960 is better than p1i because w960 have a flat screen which is not easy to get dust

Hi None2One,

the case looks like this

theres also a thread on cases for the p1i in esato, you can search for it.

You can order it online from places like this - http://www.expansys-usa.com/zoompic.aspx?type=item&i=155260

I previously using the P1i when it first launch, there are still no dust on the screen & the camera until I change to G900.
Dust only on the keys, M2 slot & the jod-dial only.

That is pretty good. Although with keeping it in your jeans pocket I thought the lint would get to it sooner or later.
