i'll take 1 ticket.
You'll need to tell everyone, who is collecting the monies and who is doing the draw!

How about some more details about the phone before launching into another auction? And as Peter says, details on the draw arrangements would also be useful.
I do realise this would appear to be the new way to sell your goods but a bit of thought beforehand would be welcome.

Once the finer details have been sorted, I will take a ticket.

I don't think this should be allowed... I think we were just trying to help a young kid out and get his G600 sold because he was pestering people about it... but this raffle thing is going to get out of hand and people are going to try and unload their phones at higher prices than they would get otherwise... for example:
weirdwilli was asking for 85 quid for his, but then somehow got bumped up to 90quid... when no one was buying at 85 initially... if this continues, esato is going to become a "raffling" site... however, if you're all happy about it, I'd be glad to sell my phones at higher prices with the 'raffle' style selling |

????? if you wanna join in, join in, if not, stick to normal sales..... i dont see the point of saying the above
i'll prob take a ticket (will PM to confirm) when more details are arranged
IMHO its a great way to sell - so long as its drawn fairly (which im confident it would be) |

I just want to make sure people aren't abusing the system.
And I'm saying the above because everyone is free to an opinion PLUS, check out who the original poster for the first raffle was...
If the majority of people are ok with this style, I'll start raffling my goods too... just trying to be fair thats all |

Question is.. WILL IT RAFFLE?

I share similar concerns as RLP06, surely this opens the flood gates for everyone to start raffling off their phones so that they get more for them than they would in a normal sale, plus it dramatically increases the chances for people to be ripped off, even if for smaller amounts.
Also if multiple people start raffling off their phones then it could take a very long time for the required number of people to complete the raffle and you could end up with someone who has put £20 into the raffle having to wait weeks and weeks for the outcome.
Also who is going to control that it is done fairly?
What is there to stop me raffling off my phone, getting on of my friends who uses this site to join the raffle, making sure they win it, keeping the phone and just pocketing everyone elses money?

I think a few things matter:
1. The price needs to be reasonable!
2. The money collector should be happy doing it
3. The phone seller should be reputable
4. The raffle host should be a respected member
5. Tickets should be cheaper

I can agree with both sets of views on this. By the way, anyone want to have a raffle for the missus, 3 tickets, only 50p each.

it seems we need to decide if we'll allow these raffles, and how they'll work. So I'll close this raffle for now and we can discuss in the proper place please
