Having seen over at: http://www.coolsmartphone.com/news4115.html
Orange are now offering unlimited data for the 35 and up packages.
I rang them up just now (as an existing customer), and as of my next billing month, I'll have unlimited data too. Thought people would want to know!
Cheers,
Daz.

How can they call it unlimited when there is a fair usage policy of only 250MB. Thats like a pub saying drink all you want for £20 but you can only have 2 pints.

I still dont think Orange have got a clue at the moment their useless. O2 do unlimited and 3 do upto 3giga bytes for around 5 quid per month T Mobile do Web n Walk. COME ON ORANGE ITS NOT GOOD. |

Haha. Your not the only one griping about it! Still, about 95% of domestic users dont give a rats ass about data. I think they only added it to compete with whats on paper on other networks. For the average user who dosent even remember that the phone does internet (let alone use it), 250 MB will seem "Unlimited". Be honest though, it is hard to chew up that much data on your phone - Unless you are using it for business or just have WAY too much free time. Its the same on all networks, you cant use the data for modem use. Phone browser only!

I think it's time Oxford updated its dictionary definition of unlimited to reflect the modern usage of the word, i.e. "limited".

JiSm is right though, the vast majority of consumers don't give two flying monkeys how much data they get, they'll probably only use it for checking the football scores and some random crap on Google anyway, so theres no worries unless your into it more than average.

Unless of course, you use your handset as a Modem to access the net - I've done it a few times - while it's worth it - you do need a BIG Data package lol!

lol, that's true, but again not many people do that, and we do warn them now that they can't and thats why we do the USB modems/data sticks instead

lol,
Admittedly, back whn I used to be with Orange, I'd sell 3G/HSDPA handsets with this feature highlighted, although of course - only to the informed lol!

Well i have unlimited data with O2 every month. Before it was unlimited it was capped around 200 per month i think but there was no way of checking how much you have used up unless you ring customer services. Quite annoying though its better now i dont worry about it im not a high user. |

I know 02 offer Unlimited but is this correct cos it
was 200MB a few months back!
0range used to offer 30MB for £7.50p what a major difference to them then

Everyone should call up. If you have an Animal Tarif that is £35 or more (Before discounts) then you can call up and ask for the new version. It will activate from your next billing date.
