Hello guys,

I've bought K800i and I'm trying it's camera capabilities.
It is said that it's better than K750/W800i but after few shots in low light conditions with&without flash Im highly dissapointed

Here is the comparision:
K800i (raider's 6.3)

K750(raider but modded)

Please don't tell my that's all I can expect from K800i, any tips?
It's my first day with it and it's the only thing that makes me think about selling it and stay with K750i :/

Dunno what you're talking about. The K800 shot looks better.

Yes, I'ts better if it's downscaled to the same size on imageshack, but if you press the image to view it 1:1 You will see that K800 is loosing a lot of detail. At least I see that.

Hi,

You're not comparing stock drivers are you? And since when did a k750 have flash? Mine doesn't! (OK, it has a couple of white LEDs).

Why not compare the two on their stock camdrivers - that might help you to form an opinion. At the end of the day, go with the phone / driver that gives results that YOU like!

And another thing... are you printing the pics or putting them online? If the latter then you'll be resizing and dropping the DPI anyway. My k750 > w800 produces decent 10*15 prints on the stock driver (ver 5.3)

K750 was shot without even a LEDs. Whats the point i comparision of stock drivers - I wanted to upgrade so Im expecting at least the same quality. K800 is also with one of the better drivers (raider) or am I wrong?

If you know better K800 cam driver which will surpass older phone, please recommend me one.

Yeah, I know Martin, the only thing i DON'T like is much less detail in pixel to pixel comparison between them.

Cheers

k800 use too much noise reduction like Nokia phones thats why the picture look with less detail

1st picture, k750 - left, k800 - right
2nd picture k800 - left, k750- right

Raider is a very good driver if you know what you're doing. There is lot of options to play with so results might be worse if you do not tweak it correctly. As said above please try with stock drivers, to try Withan 3 rev 1 drivers on the k800i.

You could also check the settings inside the k750i driver and set the exposure time, white balance, iso values and sharpness the same n the k800i stock drivers for even better comparing. Having owned both phones I think the k800i is better suited for photo's, if not for the Xenon flash then for the in my opinion better camera and AF and more drivers to play with.

If only there was a patch to get A2DP in the k750i without having to use java apps I would still be using it. Now I'm kind "attached" to my wireless stereo headset for music and making calls

You are actually comparing ISO 320 to ISO 100. That's not fair, man.

I don't see that much difference. It is a wash.

I agree. looks like K750 shot was taken with EM/ENM (ISO100) while K800 shot is without SEM/EM (ISO320)
