W910 or wait for W980? |

I've just recently started looking into cellphones lately(haven't had one for 3-4 years) since I've moved for college. I've narrowed my choices down to the W910 and w980 so far but I can't decide between the two.
I'm not picky about the camera since I have a 7MP camera nearby most of the time. I'm kinda leaning towards the W910 but I've heard it crashes quite a bit, is it true? I really like the size of the phone as well as the screen but it seems to be lacking in the software and memory can only be added up to 4GB.
The W980 seems to have a much more responsive software as well as a smoother browser from what sites are saying. My only gripe with the W980 is the smaller screen and the availability to Canada. I couldn't find anything saying it was coming to North America so it seems like I'd have to import it meaning a bit of a high cost.
What do you guys think?

Yea the 8GBs nice, also forgot it had an FM transmitter. It's too bad you couldn't bring the W910 up the W980's level cause the designs pretty sweet. Any news on the release date or the pricing? I'm seeing $350USD - $500USD |

Who says you can't? W910 is compatible with 8GB M2 card, forget the standard browser and download Opera Mini 4.1 for free - it's superb. FM transmitter is available as a plug-in accessory, A2DP accessory is also an option, you really only lose out on the light effects and the 3.2Mp camera and the W980's camera is only average so tweaking W910 photos via PhotoDJ should come pretty close. Get some decent headphones for the W910 and the 'Clear Audio' is probably in reach too. Plus the W910 comes in a range of colours.

Supposedly July 15 or thereabouts. Pre-order pricing is frightening! 
SE can't possibly slap a premium price on the W980 or else buyers will just wait for the C905. I'm currently sizing up 3.2Mp alternatives in case the W980 price remains in the realm of fantasy.

have u considered w760 its much stabler than w910
W960 is also has 8gb and available at a reasonable price, with decent firmware.And has 2.6 inch screen, wifi etc.........I think theres no point waiting for overpriced w980
if screen size is not important w890i is also much stable than w910

Ah, didn't know you could just replace the browser, pretty sweet. FM transmitters here are pretty expensive so I most likely won't get one, I just liked that it was included in the W980 I won't have to carry around an extra chunk and such. The audio isn't that big of a deal to me and same with the FM transmitter it's just another pricey part. =_=

I've actually played with both of those phones in person. I found the W960 was only okay. The lack of the D-pad kinda threw me off a bit and I didn't like the touch screen that much. The W760 is on the maybe list for now lol, pretty nice. GPS was cool. Price isn't TOO big of a problem for me right now, sold my 8GB iPod Touch for $450. I mean unless the W980 turns out to be like 600$...hope not.

Ohhh didn't know, if I can find a W910 without the loose sliding I might just have my choice this weekend.

detail in this 8GB so you can have more music can take more photos and videos to record more ... nesecidad without buying expandable memory that is against the w910 ...
if you buy the w910 comprarias memory M2 8GB more spending would have ... and just to compensate for the W980 and 8GB that happen with the camera!
Well I prefer the W980 smallest and most shining ...

I'm think I'm gonna wait till I can test both before I make a decision. The models are very very similar in terms of the functions I'm looking for; music, browser, and applications. Like you said, prices would be pretty close but right now I think the problem is for me deciding on a style haha. The slider is pretty sweet and its pretty thin and light but I really like the keypad and the clam shell design for the W980 as well.
This happens to me everytime I buy something, too picky lol. |
