SIEMENS REP CAME TO MY SHOP WITH THE S55. VERY NICE PHONE.
LOOKS NICER IN REAL LIFE THAN IN THE PHOTOGRAPHS. ABOUT THE SAME SIZE AS T68i. 256 COLOUR SCREEN, GPRS CLASS 10, EMAIL CAN DOWNLOAD ATTACHMENTS, PLOYPHONIC RING TONES, JAVA, BLUETOOTH, INFA-RED, SPEAKER PHONE, GAMES, ICON DISPLAY ON DESKTOP. VERY GOOD CALENDER. FULL ADDRESS BOOK WITH PICTURES TO NAMES. WHEN YOU PUT SOMEONES BIRTHDAY IN CONTACTS THE PHONE WILL ALARM WHEN ITS THAT PERSONS BIRTHDAY. NICE LARGE KEYPAD.YOU CAN SYNC PHONE INFO WITH SIEMENS WEBSITE SO YOU CAN BACK UP YOUR PHONE.
YOU CAN ONLY VIEW PICTURES IN THE PHONE ONE BUY ONE UNLIKE THE T68i
CAMERA: VERY GOOD WITH THE BUILT IN FLASH. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT THE CAMERA HAS NO MEMORY. FLASH CAN BE TURNED OFF IF NOT NEEDED. THIS IS A GOOD ALTERNATIVE TO THE T68i.
IF ANYONE CAN TELL ME HOW TO UPLOAD A PICTURE TAKEN WITH THE S55 I WILL DO SO. |

Doesn't the S55 come with a datacable? If so then there should also be a CD with some software on it to allow you to access the photos on your phone. Or is it like the T68 and T68i where you can only get things off from your phone thru IR or Bluetooth? |

Dont't forget that the t68 is a year old now..
and that the other brands just now come with there "t68 killers"
my geuss is that SE will strike back with a new sort of t68

it comes with a cable and cd rom disc. u can not view pictures on the phone like the t68i, you have to view them one by one. |

If you go to the tread called “Goodbye T68i…!!!” you’ll find quit a lot of information about the Siemens S55…
BTW, stop saying that the T68 is more than a year old now… because the first 9 month it was just a piece of crap…!!!

Played with it a few days ago... Nice phone...
Poly tones are great - the speaker is very load
But! the screen is just awful... The t68i's screen is much better
and the keypad is just weird :/ |

Yeah,it has a flash,so what? My brother has a S55... I like only one thing - J2Me.But the memory is only 1Mb... 7650 is much better brick

This really would have been a T68i killer, if it had been released a year and a half ago! But it does sound like they've taken on board all the little extra things we would like in the T68i.

the screen is not that bad. tip: use bmp pics instead of gif and notice the improved quality.
