I had some guy come and play with a w810 in our shop some time ago, but something has really been bugging me ever since. What he did was put a Banner of some sort on the phone - Not a wall paper, or screensaver, or anything like that - and I could not get rid of it. There was no edited text in the service menu or anything and I had to end up full resetting the thing to get rid of it! Has anyone ever heard of a banner you can activate on an SE phone? He only played with the thing for a minute or so. Baffles me. Would be quite nice to add your own text on the screen.

Ummm... I think you should go to 'Notes' and create a new note if you don't have any already, then hit 'Options', then 'Show in Standby'.
Is that what you mean?

You and me both!
Never really understood the point until now. As for your punter, cool idea! I'm gonna add a note on the standby screen of every live demo SE phone I come across if for no other reason than to stump the Voda staff!
Umm... no offence intended to you Jism.

I just tried on my W960 and it doesnt work either. Must be because if you have the "Today" screen active you can see the notes there anyways.
