Hmm branding and locked phones... That's the worst thing that can "happen" to a brand new phone... Disaster in my opinion.

I got mine last Tuesday and it was unbranded and unlocked also on Orange UK.
However, I'm having to get a replacement because the camera flash has stopped working... I hope the replacement isn't branded!

Orange have done this a couple of times when the branding wasnt correct or they had to have a release date on the phone and its possible that this is whats happened.

The K850i was stopped the week before the upgrades and I beleive Orannge had a confirmed release date as with all the networks on the same date.

The T68i as the same I got a unbranded one and a unlocked one.

I can tell you that there is a Orange firmware out for the C902
C902 R3BA035 CID52 ORANGE UK/SWIFT BLACK ORANGE-SIGN

However again this may have not been out on the release date, Or they hadnt approved it.

When the stock of the unbranded ones have gone then the branding will return

Unless the new cheif really has started to alter Oranges way in branding.

Only time will tell

I have spoken to our SE rep and he beleives that Orange havent fully approved the handset and donot want their software on it yet. Apparently there was a huge debarkle over K850 issues (and a few more W890 than they would like) and SE saying "Well, you approved the software". He says they only released it so not to be behind and loose out SE market as they havent had Brand new release in a long time - IE. They got K850 after O2 and voda etc and havent any other SE IE W960, K770 etc. Hmmmm. Im not sure if its true but yea, could well be!
