Disappointed about my K850! |

I've been using it for more than one month and I can freely admit that I'm not very satisifed about my K850.!
Coming from the K800, I was very happy about k850's design and style (no wonder, the k800 is the ugliest phone I owned), but since the very first days I've disliked the "joystick" and the keyboard: too clumky.
The other big disappointing fact is the UI speed: too slow; I hoped that the new phone would have a faster processor, but it doesn't looks like it. Slow, slow, slow. Play a movie and stuttering... navigate through menus and get some pauses. It looks like there's always a delay since you take an action and when it is executed.
Not to mention the file compatibility: the same (limited) as the K800.
The camera it self has 5mp on paper, nothing much that better than the K800.... just numbers.

Fair enough!
- clumky keyboard
- slow
- average picture quality, 5mp "on paper"
- narrow file format support

Have you updated the firmware? |

Yes, it's not a firmware problem.
It's a failed project... they (Sony) had to throw out quickly something to compete with Nokia's N95....and this is the result.
The only thing I love it's the design.

I came to a point were I realize that picture quality goes far behind numbers....
I've thrown away my Canon 5mp camera, not using anymore my phonecam, bought a Nikon D80 and that's all, so i will be happy anyway with the Iphone 2mp ridicolous camera.... |

Well I don't like the K850 that much... It's camera is OK, but really, I'm not such a picture maniac . Actually a 3.2 mp camera is OK for me (as soon as it takes clear and sharp pictures)... that's enough...
So at the moments I'm happy with my K800 (k810) these days, and I'm getting a P1 next week

I want a usable phone.
The Iphone is adorable... styleish, amazing user interface. Yes it lacks a proper camera... but now the new 3G model will also sport a GPS receiver...and the Ipod connector.... |

WM6.0 Smartphone Edition also had this caveat; manufacturers like Samsung had to license a plugin for this to be enabled. The Motorola Q9h.

Lets hope and pray 'Plankgatan' won't see this tread. How dare to criticize the k850i - best camera phone ?

Yup, no A2DP. For a music freak like me who listens to music all the time I normally use my HBH-D220. I bought my ex-iphone without even checking if it has A2DP. Good thing though I was able to sell it after 1 week of usage with a small margin from the original price. =) |
