Hi ther. Can any1 pls help. I hav downloaded all related files for flashing my w810i. I hav also installed the cd accompanied with the phone. (ie. the usb drivers)
After tht I switched off my phone, removed the battery for 30 sec n replaced it again, pressed 'c' and holding it connected it to my computer but still no new hardware is found. Instead the phone switches ON and the generic volume( mass storage device) gets detected. Wat should i do.... PLs help...
Thanks in advance... |

What OS do you use? if you were using an XP, just install SEMC flash driver. Connect your cable to phone while holding "C" on your phone. It will detect SEMC, then install the SEMC driver.

hmm thats strange.....?
try to remove you battery for 5-10 second and then reconnect again with hold the "c" button, not the back button (just in case if you miss understood)
in my case, Im plug the USB cable to PC, then remove battery for a few second, put it back then hold the "c" button and connecting my phone to the USB cable that attached to my PC, and still hold the "c" button until my phone recognized with xs++ or setool2lite.
I hope it can help you.

HEY I also had this, try turning off the windows firewall and antivirus just for the first time you connect, for some reason my firewall blocked the new hardware wizard. There is also another way to install the drivers- just copy the driver files(ie. USBflash.dll ect.) into this directory(drive letters may vary)-C:/WINDOWS/System32/drivers
After that try connecting the phone again with XS++ or far manager.
HOPE THAT HELPED!!

Yeah, manually installing (copying) the drivers into system directory might work for you... There is a problem with your PC in my opinion...
