I'm not sure, but I think the N73 camera is better than the one in K770, concerning both still-images and videorecording. I can't say with music though, but my guess is the K770 is best on that area.
If you care about music you'll also care about headsets, and when I got my N82 I went to 3 stores in town asking for a better headset than the included one, and got the same reply from all: "Nokia doesn't make any good headsets". So they didn't sell any. I finally found a store online (the 3rd one I called) and ordered another headset, and I have to agree with the replies I received in the stores. If you've used Sony Ericsson headset you will not be satisfied with a Nokia headset. (But you can use part of your Sony Ericsson headset WITH the Nokia part, which is what I did).

If you can't live without graphical smileys in your SMS's, you'll also have to purchase an additional application that doesn't integrate too well and brings other bugs to the SMS part.
Also, if you're keen on playing Java games, you should know that you can't change volume in the Java games on the N73 (or any of the Symbian S60v3 devices), and it doesn't run Java games very well overall. Instead you should look for Symbian games at e.g. http://www.my-symbian.com

I personally found the music player in N82 very disappointing, but if you don't mind spending money on extra apps, there are more than one alternative you can buy. Only problem is that they won't work with the media-controller-buttons on your headset.
There is also a free player called "KD Player" for Java, but since you can't change volume in Java on S60v3, any music oriented Java application is pretty much useless. KD Player however can be used on your K770 if you're unhappy with the included player. (It not being a dedicated walkman phone I'm not sure what the player is like).

So there's a few things to think about. Now all you have to do is to figure out how much each part means to you.

k770 produce better macro & close up portraits, but N73 produce better landscape, (larger views)...........I shouldnt buy non one of them. K770 is so ugly and N73 is to big (and ugly as well)...if you want a cheap good 3 mp phone, buy a k800 or k810.

The K770 is pretty ugly and its camera isn't as good as the one the K800 uses. The N73 is rather big but as most phones from the N series it has a good camera. It also looks pretty good.

But since you don't need a smart phone, I would, like plank, recommend the K800/K810.

Dudes, there must be a reason thread-starter is asking between two specific devices. Maybe alternative suggestions can't be purchased in the deal that's offered.

As for looks, that'll always be a matter of taste. Go look at pictures to make up your own mind.

IMO, the K770 takes much better daylight pictures than the K800/K810 or the N73. The picture taken using the K770 seems to be more colorful.

I'd say get the N73-Music Edition, it comes with a headset that has a full remote and with 3.5mm jack to plug-in your own headset, has a great camera, a nice big 2.4inch screen, and Symbian S60v3 which means you can install apps to increase functionality and play loads more video and music formats than on Java phones.

(who cares about 5 millions of third-parts-programs that you never use ? )

Actualy i use most if not all of them, thats why i install them in the 1st place. For music and videos i even have Symella, its like having LimeWire on your phone, simply type in an Album, Song, Artist or name of video,it will search and and you can download straight away, without having to go and download on some site, does Java have this? NO!
Also CorePlayer to view flv, divx, avi, mpeg1, 2, 3,4 , xvid, play ogg etc. . . You don't have to do a lot of converting that you have to do on a Java. With just those TWO apps in an N73 its already miles better than a simple K810.

So you play VGA resolution movies on your phone, which takes up so much more space than converted ones (with reduced resolution)?
I wouldn't want to download such movies with my GPRS connection. Would take forever, and be quite expensive. I fail to see how that makes the phone better.

ANYWAY... you're making the thread about something thread-starter hasn't asked about. He's asked about music and camera, and he only asked about two specific models.

Who said anything about VGA? Anyway ive got quite a bit of episodes from the previous season of South Park in avi on my phone. Im not sure what resolution but they are at 25FPS with a bit rate of around 1500kbps and they are each around 40-55mb, so NO they are not that big at all. Thats your choice to download Movies via GPRS , im talking about Music, and Music Videos in Symella, so its a lot more convinient for a user to download them, i doubt that will be expensive.
Fair enough, i suggest taking N73-ME over K770.

Well, would still take forever to download via gprs, and would be expensive, at least where I come from where price is about 7 euro pr. mb. I do think most people prefer to copy the music and videos instead.
And you can download mp4 videos just as easy as other formats, especially considering the number of mp4 players you can buy.
And if you want to copy a DVD to your phone, you'll need to convert it regardless. So I don't see any advantage at all.

Just because the bus can carry more people doesn't make it better than a car.

The question here is, the N73 has that option as well. The K770 does not. As for usage, it is true that it depends on where you live. I have free GPRS! And as I travel a lot, the online downloading option is sweet, I do not mind the time it takes as I have no other option. Another perspective.

On another note, it is OK comparing the K770 with the N73 keeping in mind the image quality..but when it comes to the kind of application you wish to use for, the choices may vary. I would not even consider the K770 because it just does not fit my usage needs. I go for the N73 which can do most things that the K770 can and MORE.

If these features are not required for the end user, the K770 is perfect!
